POWER IN GREEN

Using great skincare products is one part of the equation for a healthy skin regimen. The other part is what you drink. Nutrients in juiced food gets into the bloodstream much quicker than if one were to eat the fruit or veggies whole or cut up. Dr Frank Lipman, owner of Eleven Eleven Wellness Center states, “your skin is a mirror of your internal state.” This couldn’t be more true. Freshly squeezed veggies are used in detoxification and cleansing because of the nutrient they contain and how they restore the body on a cellular level.
I love starting my day with an 8 oz glass of POWER – my green juice. It’s packed with vitamins and nutrients that keep you strong, healthy, energized and beautiful. Its best not to combine veggies and fruits when you juice or blend unless its apple. This can affect how well your digestive enzymes function. Dr. Herbert Shelton explains that starchy food are better eaten alone and combining starchy food and fruit can lead to gas.
The difference between juicing and blending is that while juicing eliminates most of the fiber, blending keeps them. The result is that you can pack more serving of fruits and veggies into a single serving of juice than you can into a smoothie.
