Tumeric – This is optional if you’d rather not deal with it’s staining tendencies. Turmeric will not stain your face but could stain your clothes and your fingers so be careful to wear gloves and an old shirt when applying this mixture if you choose to include turmeric in the mixture. Remember it’s optional but turmeric is anti-inflammatory (reduces redness and blemishes) and anti-bacterial (helps fight acne).
Moringa – This is loaded with anti-oxidants. It contains vitamins, minerals and nutrients that help you to age less.
- Vitamin E – improves the elasticity of your skin, prevents wrinkles, and counter the effects of sun damage, and environmental pollution.
- Vitamin C – produces collagen giving the skin strength and elasticity. Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Vitamin A – keeps the skin soft and supple. Repairs and rejuvenates cells and tissues. Helps with acne and redness. Makes your skin glow and youthful.
Lemon – Will help you keep wrinkles at bay. Contains lutein which fights premature aging and enhances UV defense. Lemon is anti-bacterial protecting the skin from free radical damage, repairs cells and speeds up new skin generation. Lemons are filled with AHA’s and BHA’s which remove dead skin cells and help clear blackheads, acne, discoloration.
Honey – Is hydrating. It’s anti-bacterial and super moisturizing. Helps brighten the skin and thoroughly cleanse it. It’s also a natural antioxidants and so will repair skin and protect it against oxidative and environmental damage.
Avocado – Rich in good fats needed by the skin’s cells and tissue to repair the effects of the environment such as cold weather or sun damage. Avocado is moisturizing and nourishing.

Eat nutrient-packed, belly-filling and heart-healthy foods like avocado. Note: one avocado equals 350 calories. Eat 1/5 at a time.
I was the type of cook that made everything from scratch. So for a long time it took me forever to make salads until my mom taught me this simple way of whipping them up in minutes. First, I must say that there’s nothing wrong with making food from the scratch. However, if you have time constraints you might want to take the faster route.
TIP: Buy vegetables that are already washed and cut. This cuts out the time used in washing and drying the greens.
5 MINUTE SALAD (serves 4)
Two bags of chopped italian greens (these are the crunchiest I have found in Publix)
I container of baby red tomatoes
i container of chopped mushrooms
I container of chopped onions
1 tablespoon Oringaa
Wash mushrooms and throw in a saucepan, spice up with curry, salt, black pepper and red pepper. Sauté for 2 minutes
Throw everything else in a bowl including olive oil. Add the cooked mushrooms and stir.
One of the best ways to ensure that you incorporate Oringaa into your meals daily is to mix it into your cocoa or hot chocolate or any morning beverage that you drink daily. This recipe is my absolute favorite.
Moringa Cocoa Drink
I tablespoon Cocoa Powder
I tablespoon Miracle in the Green’s 100% Moringa Powder)
1/2 cup Almond milk
1/2 teaspoon honey to taste
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Let it cool down a bit (using boiling hot water will kill off the nutrients in oringaa). Pour into your mug. Add cocoa powder, oringaa, milk and honey. Mix until oringaa is completely dissolved. Yum…!!!
